  • Qasem Soleimani was a villager from the suburbs of Kerman. In his youth, he migrated from the village to work and became a builder. Later, he got employed in the Water Organization. In the early days of the revolution, he became acquainted with Imam Khomeini's movement and engaged in activities towards the revolution's victory. The video of this is available in the site's video section. Afterward, he got acquainted and became friends with Imam Khamenei. With the formation of the Revolutionary Guards, he joined the Guards and quickly became a military instructor, progressing day by day. During the eight-year war with Iraq, he was among the war's elite, and after the war, he served in the Quds Force and provided many services. As much as he was beloved among the people and the underprivileged, he was a thorn in the side of the enemies.

  • Martyr Qasem Soleimani, single-handedly and under the command of Imam Khamenei, thwarted all the enemy's plans to change the map of the Middle East and dashed the enemy's hopes of dominating the region. That's why the sworn enemies tried to assassinate him at any cost, and this ultimately led to his martyrdom.

  • The Holy Quran, Surah Maryam, Verse 96:

(ان الذین آمنوا و عملوا الصالحات سیجعل لهم الرحمن ودا)

(Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection.)

A faithful person is like the sun, and just as the sun has no choice in its shining and life-giving, and gives light and life, a faithful person also penetrates hearts. Martyr Soleimani acted as he said and genuinely believed in the actions he took. He was always concerned about the deprived and visited the families of martyrs, considering the martyrs' children dearer than his own. His being was for God, and God instilled his love in people's hearts. He was a perfect example of a believer in God.

  • The most beautiful death is martyrdom. God makes anyone He loves and is passionate about a martyr, and what wish does someone have other than martyrdom when they understand this well? On his birthday, Martyr Soleimani wished for martyrdom, and it wasn't long before God granted his wish. During his lifetime, he was also considered a living martyr by the Supreme Leader.

  • He had a master's degree in Islamic Philosophy and Wisdom.

  • Soleimani had gained a lot of experience during the eight-year war with Iraq and also fighting drug gangs in the borders of Iran and Afghanistan before his appointment as the commander of the Quds Force. He was also active in the resistance front until the end of his life in 2019.

  • During the fight against America and the American phenomenon of ISIS, Martyr Qasem Soleimani took the initiative and, under the orders of Imam Khamenei, created and equipped resistance groups from Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran, which were essentially our own Basij in other countries. The formation of the Basij enabled faithful and devoted people to stand against ISIS and America and defeat ISIS under his command, further strengthening the power of Islam in the region. Because he was the commander at that time, he was called the commander of the resistance front.

  • In addition to knowing Imam Khamenei from the early days of the revolution and being very close friends, Martyr Soleimani knew that Imam Khamenei was a spiritual and prominent figure, very knowledgeable and wise. When he became the Supreme Leader, Martyr Soleimani's devotion to him increased significantly, and he considered him his Imam and leader. In other words, besides the friendship they had, he considered himself a soldier and devoted follower of Imam Khamenei.

In a part of his will, Haj Qasem addressed the great religious authorities and scholars:

A brief word from a 40-year-old soldier in the field to the esteemed scholars and honorable religious authorities who are the light of society and the cause of dispelling darkness, especially the esteemed Maraje’s. Your soldier saw from a watchtower that if this revolution is harmed, religion and what you have toiled and strived for in the seminaries will be lost. These times are different from all other times. This time, if they gain control, nothing will remain of Islam. The correct path is to support the revolution, the Islamic Republic, and the Supreme Leader without any reservations. In these dire circumstances, others should not cause you, who are the hope of Islam, to hesitate.

All of you loved the Imam and believed in his path. The Imam's path is the fight against America and the support of the Islamic Republic and the oppressed Muslims under the banner of the Supreme Leader. With my limited intellect, I saw that some insidious people tried and are trying to silence and cause hesitation among the influential religious authorities and scholars in society with their words and sanctimonious demeanor. The truth is clear; the Islamic Republic, its values, and the Velayat-e Faqih are the legacy of Imam Khomeini (RA) and must be strongly supported. I see His Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei as very oppressed and lonely. He needs your companionship and help, and you, the esteemed authorities, must guide society with your statements, meetings, and support. If this revolution is harmed, it will not even be like the time of the accursed Shah, but rather the arrogance of pure atheism and a deep, irreversible deviation.

I kiss your blessed hands and apologize for this statement, but I wished to express this to you in person, but it was not possible.

Haj Qasem's will is available in the site's introduction section.

  • When the grandchild of Martyr Maghfouri was hospitalized for an operation, Haj Qasem arrived at the hospital himself. The martyr's child said to Haj Qasem, "Zainab's operation is over. You can go." But Haj Qasem says to the martyr's child, "I am here in place of your father.

In a meeting with the family of Martyr Sardar Soleimani, the Supreme Leader mentioned a memory of Haj Qasem that was narrated in the book "The Haj Qasem I Know," that Haj Qasem was present behind the operating room door to accompany the child of his martyr friend. The Supreme Leader paused and choked up for a moment while recounting this memory.

When Mahdi Maghfouri was martyred, his daughter Fatima was three years old. Years later, Fatima Maghfouri married the son of Martyr Tahami, who is a pilot, and the Supreme Leader officiated their marriage in a trip to Kerman. This marriage resulted in two children named Hussein and Zainab. One day, their daughter Zainab became ill and was hospitalized. Zainab needed surgery. When Haj Qasem learned of the illness of Martyr Maghfouri's grandchild and found out that Zainab had been taken to the hospital for surgery, he went to the hospital with Hussein Pourjafari. Fatima, Martyr Maghfouri's daughter, was both happy and surprised to see Haj Qasem.

Despite all his engagements, Sardar Soleimani was present at the hospital, and even when Zainab's operation was successful, Sardar Soleimani remained at the hospital. The martyr's child says to Haj Qasem, "Zainab's surgery is over. Now that you are relieved, you can go." But Haj Qasem was still anxious and said to Fatima Maghfouri, "I sent your father to the war in my place. Now I am here in his place." Haj Qasem stayed at the hospital and behind the operating room door until Zainab, Martyr Maghfouri's grandchild, regained consciousness.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

    Dear and respected family,

    Peace be upon you,

I am your humble brother, Qasem Soleimani. You surely know of me.

We have provided significant assistance to Sunni Muslims worldwide. I am Shia, and you are Sunni. However, I am, in a way, Sunni too, because we believe in the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and strive to follow his path. And you are, in a way, Shia too, because you love the Ahlul Bayt (AS). I understood from the Quran, Sahih Bukhari, and other books in your house that you are a religious family.

First, I apologize and hope you forgive us for using your house without permission.

Second, if your house has suffered any damage, we are ready to compensate you.

On behalf of ourselves and you, we performed an Istikhara with the Holy Quran, and the answer came from the blessed verses of Surah Al-Furqan on pages 361 and 362. We hope you read and reflect upon these verses as we did.

I prayed in your house and performed two Rakat with the intention of seeking blessings for you, praying for your well-being.

    Pray for me.

  • The wife of Martyr Rezaei says: "There was a time when my son was emotionally troubled due to his father's martyrdom, so I thought maybe marriage would help him move on and improve his condition. We lived in Tehran, and none of my or my husband's relatives were around us. I looked at my husband's photo and said: 'Hossein, I want to arrange a proposal for your son, but I don't know where to start; help me yourself.' I truly felt his presence during the events of my son's proposal and marriage. That day, my elder son had gone for an exam, and I handed the letter to the Commander. When my son returned, he asked, 'Who was at our house today?' I said, 'Commander Soleimani.' He asked, 'Did you get the reply to the letter?' I said, 'No, he just asked about the time of the ceremony.' He replied, 'Then the Commander will come.' I said, 'Don't be silly. The Commander has so many responsibilities...'

Apparently, my son had written the bride's family's address and phone number in the letter, along with the date and time of the proposal night. That evening, we went to the bride's home. Not even eight minutes had passed when the doorbell rang. We opened the door and were shocked to see the Commander himself. Everyone was in tears for a quarter of an hour. His presence was an honor, and everything went well. That night, the engagement contract was read, and 14 gold coins were set as the dowry.

The Commander asked us not to publicize the story. He said, 'I really can't do this for every martyr's child, but because of my respect for Martyr Rezaei and the dream his son had, I felt obligated to come.'

  • Martyr Commander Ahmad Kazemi.

In Commander Soleimani's oral memoirs, he said, "I always used to say to Ahmad: 'May your pain be upon me,' a phrase I often used for him."

  • Haj Qasem was neither a reformist nor a conservative. He was revolutionary.

  • Haj Qasem paid great attention to the families of martyrs.

He kept a notebook with around 150 phone numbers of martyr families. Not a day passed without him contacting a few of them. He would take every opportunity throughout the day to call the mothers, fathers, spouses, and children of martyrs, speaking with each of them for 10 or 5 minutes. He would inquire about their well-being and listen to their problems. The times spent traveling from home to work, on the way to the airport, or heading to meetings were dedicated to the families of the martyrs.

  • "Haj Younes," a commander of the Quds Force, narrates: "On Thursday morning (January 2, 2020), I, along with others, met him. We had breakfast, and then he outlined some tasks for the next few years on the board. Our meeting lasted until 7 PM.

After prayers, I suggested we change locations for safety, and he agreed. That afternoon, he seemed different. Feeling cold, he called me and said, 'These chickens must be cold; do something for them.'At the time, I may not have noticed the change in Hajji's demeanor, but after his martyrdom, I came to understand it.

Later, when he was leaving, I kissed his face goodbye. It was the only time I ever did so. At one a.m, the regional commander called me and said, "Call Iraq and find out what has happened." I made the call, and they said, "Something has happened at the airport; a car was hit. We are investigating.

A few minutes later, I called again. They said, "It seems Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis has been martyred." I asked, "What about Hajji?" They replied, "We are still investigatinI called the regional commander and told him what they had said, but I added, "I suspect that Hajji has also been martyred

The commander asked me to follow up and confirm. Eventually, we received the definitive news. That was the only time I wished I had been wrong. It was as if we didn’t want to believe it.Later, when we turned on the television, we saw the news being announced.

  • Martyr Soleimani was the commander of the Quds Force, a branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responsible for the organization's extraterritorial operations. It was established in 1990 by the order of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

  • Yes.

Sardar Iranmanesh, the head of the office of the commander of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards, said: "Haj Qasem emphasized that the proprieties of a good end are in following and obeying the Supreme Leader, and this is not a slogan." In his notes, it is written, "I wish I had several lives to sacrifice in the path of the system, the revolution, and the Velayat."  Haj Qasem even knew about his own martyrdom, because two hours before his martyrdom, he wrote, "Oh God, accept me purified

  • On the morning of Friday, January 3, 2020, Sardar Qasem Soleimani was martyred in an American helicopter attack at Baghdad Airport. In this attack, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the commander of Hezbollah in Iraq and the deputy commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Sha'abi), and a number of other Iraqi fighters were also martyred along with Soleimani.

  • Official Iraqi government officials had always invited Haj Qasem to hold meetings on various topics. Therefore, he had frequent trips to Iraq, and on this trip, he traveled to Baghdad at the invitation of the Iraqi government. Especially this time, Haj Qasem was traveling from Syria to Iraq by passenger plane, which was even traceable on aviation websites.

  • The assassination of Martyr Soleimani was carried out under the direct order of the President of the United States, Donald Trump. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country issued a statement regarding the updating of the sanctions list of American individuals involved in the assassination of the martyred General Haj Qasem Soleimani and his companions.
